Hydra: Decentralized Compute on Sakviti

How Hydra helps Sakviti support decentralized services and richer application workflows.

Dated post. This February 2026 overview is retained for the public blog.

Hydra is Sakviti's service layer for decentralized application logic. It is designed for work that should not require every network participant to execute every operation, while still connecting service outcomes back to the Sakviti network.

Why Services Need a Different Model

Applications need more than basic value transfer. They need storage, markets, games, media, collaboration, payments, and long-running workflows. Running all of that directly in global consensus would limit scale and make rich apps expensive.

Hydra gives applications a service model: work can happen in service groups, while the network remains the settlement and coordination layer.

What Hydra Enables

Hydra is intended to support decentralized compute, app-specific services, payment flows, marketplaces, storage coordination, and other workflows that need more flexibility than simple transactions.

Builder Experience

The long-term goal is for builders to publish services that users can discover through Nexus and related app-distribution flows. Hydra is one of the pieces that makes Sakviti more than a payment network: it gives the ecosystem a path toward full decentralized applications.
